What are refurbished laptops?

Used laptops are portable computers sold at lower prices because they have had a previous owner. Most of ours are imported from Germany, the Netherlands and the UK, where large companies replace their equipment every two or three years. Each machine reaches you only after a thorough technical and cosmetic inspection in our own service centre.

Advantages and drawbacks

Advantages:

• Price: a refurbished laptop saves you a substantial amount compared with a new model of the same specification. The gap is widest on business-class machines, which cost several times more when new.
• Quality: these are imported machines, in most cases used in an office environment, so they are typically in full working order with minimal or no defects. Even so, every laptop is inspected and refurbished by our technicians.
• Warranty: every laptop comes with a one-year warranty, and we continue to support it after that period as well.

Drawbacks:

• Battery wear: the most common remark is reduced battery capacity. It rarely affects day-to-day use, and we state the battery condition for every unit.
• Cosmetic marks: there may be signs of use on the chassis. They do not affect how the machine works.

How to choose a refurbished laptop

• Start from what you need: office work and browsing call for a different machine than heavy business use or gaming.
• Operating system: we supply licensed Windows 10 and Windows 11, in Home and Pro editions.
• Processor: we stock Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 models, as well as Intel Celeron and Pentium.
• Memory: configurations go up to 64 GB. 8 GB is the practical minimum today, 16 GB is the sensible choice for the next few years.
• Storage: SSD and NVMe drives from 128 GB to 1 TB.

Shipments are sent with the option to inspect and test before paying. If the laptop is not what you expected, you have 14 days to return it.

Clean the keyboard, screen and vents regularly with a soft cloth. Use the laptop on a hard surface so it does not overheat. Keep the operating system and drivers up to date, and keep antivirus software installed.
